I have really enjoyed everything that I have read by Joslyn, so last night I was looking for a book to read that I know would be light-hearted and fun! I found what I was looking for when reading The Fifty-Two Week Chronicles.Absolutely love the characters!! Penelope Monroe has established a name for herself as one of the best food critics and has hundreds of thousands of followers on her blog. You basically eat where she tells you to (lol). When you don't get a positive review, it has the opportunity to destroy your business, as Jonathan Knight has learned.
So, what's a lady to do when she discovers that her boyfriend, who is also basically her boss (kind-of) is not who you think he is and you are suddenly fired? Well, your best friend steps in and offers you a job as a restaurant consult for none other than the Jonathan Knight (who absolutely hates her). Plus you decide to begin working under a new identity!!
I would also like to say that I absolutely adore Sebastian, Penelope's BFF. He is such a great and supportive friend. I would love to have him in my circle!!
Of course everything bad that happens to Penelope always happens on a Monday...so if you are having a bad Monday....this is the book to pick-up, it will certainly have you smiling and forgetting your terrible day!!!

I really like the fact that it was short and to the point. Very easy to read and delightful. I'm impress of how you can find love of someone you hate without knowing her or him at all.
I really enjoyed this book! Penelope gets a job as a food critic at a small newspaper and becomes quite well known. After a breakup and getting fired, she lands a job as a restaurant consultant. Enter Jonathan Knight. His restaurant is failing because of Penelope ' s review . She decides to help him out but changes her name to remain anonymous. Read this book to find out what happens! There is some steamy romance, humor, and only a little drama. Fun,quick read!
Absolutely loved Penelope and Sebastian's antics. The way he can talk her into and out of situations in a way only a best friend can and laugh the entire time. "Kennedy's" cookie raiding gives new meaning to Netflix and chill. A sweet and funny read I can't wait for the next one.

Reading The Fifty-Two Week Chronicles filled me with joy! I love how we were able to follow Penelope in her journey; finding not only love but finding her place in the world and a career she loved. I am a sucker for happy endings and Joslyn nailed it with this amazing debut novel. Looking forward to what comes next!
I just loved this story. She unknowingly ruined him, by her one simple bad review. Then she was pushed into his life once more where she helped put him back on top. All while he taught her what she was really supposed to be. The plot, the characters, the twists and turns, hidden surprises, they all blend together so well, to bring this book too being the complete joy to read that it was. I voluntary review of an advance reader's copy. This book was so good, i had to go back and purchase a copy for myself.
I stumbled across this book in the store, liked the look of the cover and blurb (food and romance, come on!), so decided to give it a shot. What can I say> I was hooked from the first page. Penelope is sharp and sassy and has the best gay BFF a girl could ever want! She's a fun character and the hero, Johnathan Knight... oh, my! He's brooding, strong, complicated, sensitive, and hot, all at the same time. Reading Penelope and Johnathan's story against a backdrop of New York, The Hamptons, and loads of wonderful sounding food made me want to sit, eat, and read all day long. A totally enjoyable debut and I've already pre-ordered Joslyn Westbrook's next title.
What do I say about a book I have been waiting for, quite literally, for months?? If we're being honest, I've told so many people about the book that my phone immediately fills in the title for me nowadays.
And let me just say - Joslyn Westbrook did NOT disappoint. Everything about The Fifty-Two Week Chronicles (thanks, phone, LOL) is delectable. From Penelope and Sebastian's friendship to Penelope and Jonathan's whirlwind love story.
Westbrook has an effortless way of writing. It's both light and airy with a dash of snark to make things spicy. From the very first page, I was hooked. And, as a foodie myself, I loved all of the cooking/food descriptions. Pretty much, this book made me 1) hungry, 2) laugh out loud, 3) squeal a little bit because Jonathan is Class A swoon-worthy, and 4) upset...because now I have to wait until the Fall for Book 2!!
Joslyn, if you see this review - great job on making this romantic comedy burst with flavor and spice. It's everything I wanted this book to be since I first read a preview some months ago, and I can't wait for the sequel!!
